Chalet Byron is a coworking house on Bayshore Drive, built by hand and run for the people who work in it. Membership only, and open to members 24/7.
The building
Italy, then Mexico, then Byron.
The building was built by hand after a year on the road: the rendered walls and warm timber of a Tuscan villa, the curved parapet and deep verandah posts of a Mexican mission house.
It was never designed as an office. That is the point. Plywood desks built in place, the Bali table made from an old wooden boat, a hardwood feature wall, a cane lounge somebody’s grandmother owned, and a courtyard for lunch and Friday drinks. Dogs welcome.

Full-time, your own desk, left as you left it. We’re full at the moment, and desks come up a few times a year.

Weekends
The Bali table is yours on weekends.
Saturdays and Sundays the house can be hired for up to 50 people across three rooms and the courtyard. We’ve hosted Write Club, accelerator programs, design workshops, and wine and crochet nights with Piccante Culture.
